Dr. Carmona and I...

is my Co-Host in our upcoming Podcast, UNRAVELED: After DNA Discovery.

When I first had my DNA Discovery in 2019, Dr. Carmona was one of the first people I emailed. I wanted to know if he knew anyone who could help me better understand what DNA means and how to find my new to me family.

He called me, and by the end of that first conversation, he said, “Whatever you are doing with this, I want to be a part of it.” Now, many years in,  we have both learned so much about DNA Discovery, the stages of DNA Grief, each other, and our mission to serve and create a judgment-free community for you.

In our first episode, which is different from the rest, we go deep into how we met and why we are working together, so if you want more, please take a listen as soon as it’s out.  In the podcast, I speak to people about different ways to heal, as we are not One-Size-Fits-All, and Rich speaks about the Science.

The United States Surgeon General is the chief medical officer for the United States, responsible for promoting public health and providing the public with the best scientific information on health issues. He is still very active in helping to educate, learn, and share information, and in working with world leaders in medicine and research.

Dr. Carmona is a physician and former law enforcement officer who served as the 17th Surgeon General of the United States from 2002 to 2006 under President George W. Bush. Before entering politics, he earned a Purple Heart for his service as a Green Beret in the Vietnam War.

He is a kind, compassionate, brilliant person who is always looking to help and solve. I think you will all really love him, as we all do. He prefers to be called Rich. I am still pinching myself that I get the opportunity to know him, and work with him.  We always laugh when we are together, and some tears have shown up too. He is such a gift in this world!  I am grateful to be on this journey with him.
